So many milestones these past few months!
Our little boy is growing up so fast.
First we graduated to the booster seat, then said "bye bye" to the pacifier, and now we've moved on to a toddler bed!
Unbelievable!
To be honest, I wasn't completely ready for this transition!
We had the toddler bed set up in James' room (next to his crib) for awhile.
I wanted him to get used to it and comfortable with it first.
He picked out Thomas The Train bedding- he was excited!
I thought we would wait until the new baby was a few months old before making the switch. I also didn't want James to feel like the new baby was "taking" his crib.
But James was ready for Thomas!
Matt laid him down the first night and James cuddled right up and passed out.
He loves his big boy bed!
His first night was last Thursday- we've had five full nights now.
He's done great. I thought for sure he would wake up a few times, or possibly even fall out of the bed.
I was surprised when 7am Friday morning, he strolled into our room with a huge smile on his face!
This transition has been so much easier than I had anticipated!
So Brian came over and helped Matt move the crib into the new baby's room.
This one's not a baby anymore!
A big Thank You to Shon and Shelly and Ethan for passing along this great toddler bed!
It's perfect- low to the ground, with short sides that act as rails to keep him from falling out.
We were even able to get matching dressers to complete his bedroom!
