Mikayla's Dedication

Children are a gift from God.
Psalm 127.3

Mikayla is such an incredible blessing to our family!
It was with great joy that we dedicated her at our church in Sumner on November 11th.
We enjoyed this special time of prayer for Mikayla.  It was a day to love her and start guiding her on her path toward a personal relationship with Christ.

Tutu and Papi couldn't be with us but they certainly blessed her with a beautiful outfit for her special day!

Matt and I were excited to publicly commit ourselves to raising Mikayla in His ways.

The Lord has big plans for this little one!

Pastor Mark is wonderful.
We love the Kids World program at Calvary!

After church we invited friends and family over for brunch.

And of course, play time!

Mikayla Lei,
you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Oh how we love our sweet daughter!

Incredibly thankful for this day!

The video of her dedication: My favorite part is when Pastor Mark starts talking about Mikayla and her future husband- Mikayla starts clapping!

(A Few Of) Their Favorite Things

Mikayla: Totally into reading!
This girl loves books.
Picture books, chapter books, recipe books, pop up books, she flips through them all!

 James: Building houses!
Cardboard houses, block houses, Lincoln Logs.
He's going to be handy, just like his Dad!

Halloween 2012

We had a great Halloween this year.
The kids were pumped, and so were Mom and Dad!

Fun with Halloween straws.

Lots of Halloween decorations to play with!

Mikayla's "monster" pose.

The kids were Woody and Jessie from Toy Story this year.
James loves Woody and Mikayla made the cutest Jessie, it was perfect!

Thanks Grandma B for putting together the cutest costume!

Cowboy at heart.

Mikayla's hat and pigtails didn't last long!

First order of the night- Fall Festival at our church.

Tutu and Papi came along for the festivities!

James' very first pony ride!
He's never been interested in the past,
but he was excited about it on this evening.

A first for Mikayla as well.
My little cowgirl.

Inside for some games and candy.
James threw the ball straight into the cup.
Only 4 winners in the evening so far- he's a natural!

First taste of cotton candy- not so sure...

"I know what this stuff is!"

James was so excited for the kiddy rides.
He did this one twice!

Then back to the house for dinner and Trick Or Treat time.

We were so happy to have the Kellys join us again this year!!

What a crew!

James pulled the wagon...

... while Mikayla ate his candy!

Closely examining those decorations.

LOVED your costume, Mel!

Trick Or Treat pros!

So many pumpkins to see- he loved it.

Our neighbors have some great set ups!

Back to the house to eat candy!

What a fun evening!
