Covington Cellars
I found a Groupon for a tour of Covington Cellars in Woodinville.
Grandma and Grandpa B came to be with the kids and we made it a date day!
So fun spending this time with Matt!
We followed the tour and tasting with dinner at Barking Frog.
It was excellent!
We are excited for Napa!
Auntie Jill
Jill came over one evening to hang out. We barbequed and played in the back yard with the kids! It was fun! Matt snapped a few pictures and this one made me laugh. James loved playing with her!
First Movie
Matt took James to his first movie in the theaters!
Madagascar 3
I picked up Madagascar 1 and 2 at Target when they were having a great deal on both. Turns out these movies are hilarious! And a welcome change after watching all three Toy Story movies for a month. Matt said the third one is great too. James sat through the whole movie and enjoyed popcorn and a hot dog! Our baby boy is growing up!
Meanwhile, Mikayla and I popped across the street to the Super Mall to do a little shopping. I do love having a little shopping buddy!
Nine Months Old
Here's our happy girl at 9 months.
Her hair is getting lighter, and longer!
Every day she changes. Today Matt came home from work and commented that she had changed from last night. She is looking more and more like a little girl and less like my tiny baby!
She has a sense of humor and giggles all the time!
She is such a strong girl. Already pulling herself up on things (we had to lower her crib!). She can even climb up stairs.
She is quite the talker. "Mamama" and "Dadada" most frequently. She also likes to wave and say "bye!" Adorable.
9 month stats:
21 pounds 8.5 ounces- above the 95th percentile
18 and 3/4 inch head circumference
27 and 3/4 inches tall- 50th to 75th percentile
Mikayla loves: Kona, bouncing, snacks, bath time, cuddles, crawling, brother, brother's toys
Making Momma Smile
James is hilarious these days. Some of his antics include:
Playing in the dirt! We have a tiny patch of dirt on our hillside that he's found and made his own! I catch him in there with a shovel all the time!
Climbing trees- any tree he can find!
Wearing headphones at the library- cute!
I gave him a banana bread muffin (his favorite) for him to snack on while we walked. Looks like the lion was hungry too!
He also loves wearing his hat. He is SUCH a boy. It's fun!
He is a sweet boy, too. When Matt was gone on his shrimping trip, they were talking on the phone. James said, "Da- I you!" (Translation, "Dad, I love you!") Sweetness!
Besties
My two munchkins are playing together more and more. They really are best friends!
James loves his sister tons. And she loves him too!
Sharing toys.
Goofy faces!
Last month he took her for her first wagon ride. She loved it!
Haley's Pony Party!
For Haley's second birthday, she had a great party- with ponies!
Grandma B made Mikayla the perfect outfit for the occasion!
James wasn't interested in wearing his costume. But he enjoyed the hats!
Littlest cowgirls!
Happy birthday big girl!
Soccer Season
Soccer ended a couple weeks ago. We had a blast at practice on Sundays!
James loved it. I'm so glad we signed him up!
A great way to burn all that energy he has!
Happy dance!
He loves soccer. Today we were at the beach and there were some older kids playing. He just about invited himself to join their game! I think it's great he's developing a love for sports!
Goofball.
At the end of each practice, each player scored a goal.
Followed by a high five to coach!
Huddle and cheer!
He L-O-V-E-D getting his stamp at the end of each practice.
Cheerleader.
Soccer makes this guy so happy...
...and tired! Time for a rest on coach Dad.
Gorgeous views from the soccer field.
It's exciting to watch brother!
Sometimes exhausting, too!!
