Well, the last two years in a nutshell:
Matt and I were married on July 12, 2008 in Des Moines,
and we enjoyed a fantastic honeymoon in Jamaica!
I found out I was pregnant in March of 2009 and we were excited to welcome "Baby Backman" into the world.
At 20 weeks pregnant, we were excited to learn that we would be having a boy!
And so the belly continued to grow...
and grow,
and grow,
until December 2, 2010.
James Jeffrey Backman made his grand appearance on a Wednesday at 10:39am.
He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
James is such an incredible blessing to us. Being parents has been the most wonderful experience, greater than we could have ever imagined!
