Ice Storm

After the fun of Snowmageddon came a crazy ice storm!  I've never seen anything like it. Inches of ice covered trees and bushes and well, everything!

I must admit, it was beautiful! But only if you could enjoy it from someplace warm- I'd hate to be on the roads in these conditions!

I thought we might lose this tall tree in our front yard, but surprisingly it bounced right back!

Poor Frosty!

Most of Western Washington lost power.  But thanks to my always prepared hubby, we fared quite well by the warmth of our fire and power via generator!

We had fun using candles and flashlights.

Eating in the dark = extra messy!

I think James prefers the power out!

Flashlights have become a favorite toy now.

Our littlest one never knew anything was different. She napped soundly by the fire!

James is learning from his Daddy- always prepared!

We enjoyed lots of crafts and games by candle/ flashlight.

Even got started on Valentines!

James made sure sister was included in the sticker action. :)

I was ready for power by our third day, and luckily it came back on.  It was nice to get back to our activities, James missed his story time at the library and his play dates!
