Senior Prom

Brett attended his senior prom last weekend-
a memory that will last forever!

He took the lovely Christine as his date.

Classy.

All of Brett's friends came to my parent's house for dinner before going to the dance.

The guys:

That's SO my brother.

Ultrasound and Baby Updates!

We had another ultrasound today-
At our 20 week ultrasound (about a month ago) the doctor wanted us to come back to take another look.

Good news- our beautiful baby is perfect and healthy! Prayers answered!

The ultrasound technician said that the baby was giving her "beautiful views" and they were able to get all the pictures they want.

I was especially excited to get another look. We could see so much more detail this time around. We were even able to watch the baby "drink" and move its mouth for a few minutes! A good sign according to the doctor, he/she is getting practice for when it comes time to nurse.  The little belly and bladder were full too, so we know that baby's an eater!  So fun!

Such a perfect little profile :)

Tiny little toes!

Flexing that arm!

The movements in my tummy are becoming bigger and bigger. I was able to see the baby kick from outside my belly for the first time last week!
It's the best feeling.

We brought James to our appointment a few weeks ago- he got to hear the baby's heartbeat with us. I'm so excited for him to be a big brother.

Here's a belly picture taken at 23 weeks:

Counting down the weeks- 15 to go!

Spring Time in the Backyard

We've been enjoying lots of barbeques in the backyard on these sunny spring days.

Probably twice a week we hang out outside while James splashes in the fountain and Matt grills dinner.

I've been excited to see what pops up in the garden.

James likes to help me work in the yard while I pull weeds.

The grill master- tonight, pork chops!

I wonder what summer has in store??

I can't wait to find out!!

A Very Happy Mothers Day

Mothers Day was perfect this year, I couldn't have imagined a better day with my family- nothing exciting, just quality together time.

Matt made a delicious brunch for my mom, brother and me.

Vegetarian quiche, fruit salad and bacon.

I have the sweetest husband! Best part- he did all the dishes, too.

James helped, of course!

Uncle Brett and James had a great time playing cars.

Check out the big giggles:

Mothers.
 Love for Tutu!

Later we took a long walk and an outing to the park.

James is loving the big toy!

Someday, Dad!

Discovering pinecones!

My little climber...

The little one who made me a mommy!

Later in the evening: Grandma, Grandpa, Amanda and Adalae joined us for dinner.

Fun times throwing rocks in the fountain with Grandpa B.

Happy Mothers Day!

Vanessa's Big Day- Before The Big Day!

My dear friend Vanessa is getting married in Hawaii this July!

To celebrate, a few friends and I threw her a bridal shower over the weekend.

We had appropriately themed decor for the upcoming tropical occasion.

Lots of flowers...

Festive pom poms...

Cake = perfect! And delicious too!

Vanessa and her mom...

Fun bridal shower games. It seems Vanessa knows Renee very well!

Good friends, good times!

The bride to be with her rehearsal ribbon bouquet.

Or, if you're in to royal weddings...

... a fashionable hat!

Amanda contributed the perfect cake topper.

Such a great group of ladies!! Lots of Propel in this photo!

She will make such a beautiful bride!

Tricks

James has picked up some "tricks" over the past few months and I wanted to document these before he's on to new things! He can wave and blow kisses... plus more:

The funniest thing about airplanes is anytime he hears one go over (even when it's so quiet that we don't notice it), he puts his hand up to the sky. So sweet!
